my approach

I work with organisations to strengthen participatory practices — making them more inclusive, responsive, and sustainable. My focus is on how we build caring relationships through the material aspects of our work: the spaces we share, the tools we use, and the everyday systems we create together.

Participation isn’t just a one-off event like a consultation or focus group. It’s an ongoing, relational process — shaped by how we listen, how we share responsibility, and how we collaborate through the environments and structures we co-create.

This approach draws on over a decade of experience and a practice-led framework developed during my PhD. I support organisations to:

  • Design strategies for long-term, meaningful engagement
  • Identify and work with the care dynamics at play
  • Understand where and why participation may be breaking down

Whether you’re rethinking a service, strengthening your team’s approach, or developing new ways of working with communities, I offer collaborative, flexible support tailored to your context.
